Namwon has historically been known as ‘Cheonbuji-ji Ok-ya-baek-ri’ (a land of heavenly blessing with a hundred miles of fertile fields), a place bestowed by heaven where everyone can thrive.

Namwon, in particular, is a cultural city enriched by various cultural festivals such as the Chunhyang Festival, Heungbu Festival, and Azalea Festival. It is also the heartland of Eastern Pansori, making our cultural resources richer than anywhere else.

With these cultural foundations, I aspire to lead Namwon's municipal administration during the 8th elected term towards ‘a future of culture and emerging industries.’

Our city's website will serve as a new vessel for the evolving administration of Namwon City.
