Famous as a setting of the Tale of Chunhyang, Gwanghallu Garden shows our ancestor’s wisdom for adapting to and assimilating with nature.
The garden was built during the Joseon Dynasty to create a utopia in the world and was designated as Scenic Site No. 33.

Located in the Namwon Tourist Complex, Yanglim-gil, Namwon-si (land area of 116,000m2 in approximate), Chunhyang Theme Park includes a filming location for the famous film Chunhyang, directed by Kwon-taek Lim.

FestivalsPainted Maple Festival
Sap of the painted maple, widely known as a marvelous remedy, is collected from painted maple colonies such as found in Baemsagol Valley, Dalgung and Banyabong Peak on Jirisan Mountain from around February 20 to March 20 every year (from the first rainfall of the year to the end of hibernation by the lunar calendar). This sap is garnering increasing attention.
